Studio Policies

These policies ensure clarity, fairness, and a professional working relationship across all services, including lessons, accompaniment, events, recording, composition, and media work.

Booking any service confirms agreement with the policies below.

General Booking & Payment

• Services are scheduled upon confirmation and, where applicable, receipt of payment or deposit.

• Prices reflect time, preparation, expertise, and professional standards — rates are firm and non-negotiable.

• Late payments may delay delivery of services, materials, or final files.

• Returned or failed payments may incur additional processing fees.

Private Music Lessons

Tuition & Packages

• Lesson packages are prepaid.

• Lesson enrollment reserves a dedicated weekly time in the studio schedule.

• Lesson times are confirmed upon booking.

• Packages do not expire and may be transferred upon approval.

Cancellations & Make-Ups

• 24-hour notice is required to reschedule a lesson.

• A cancellation is defined as notice given at least 24 hours before the lesson time.

• A no-show is defined as missing a lesson without any notice. No-shows are forfeited and not eligible for rescheduling.

• Lessons canceled with less than 24-hour notice are forfeited.

• Make-up lessons are offered based on availability and are not guaranteed. Rescheduled lessons must occur within a reasonable timeframe.

• If the teacher must cancel a lesson, a make-up or reschedule will always be provided.

• Repeated last-minute cancellations or ongoing lack of preparation may result in the release of the reserved time slot.

Student Expectations

Students are expected to:

• Practice consistently between lessons

• Bring required materials

• Arrive on time and prepared

• Follow teacher guidance regarding repertoire and pacing

Progress depends on regular practice. Continued lack of preparation may lead to a discussion about lesson readiness.

Piano Accompaniment

• Music should be provided in advance whenever possible for preparation.

• Sessions begin and end at scheduled times.

• Late arrivals shorten the session.

• 24-hour notice is required for cancellations or schedule changes.

• Rehearsal sessions canceled with proper notice may be rescheduled based on availability.
• Audition or performance bookings reserve dedicated preparation and calendar time. If canceled, the session may be transferred to a future date (such as a rescheduled audition or performance), subject to availability.
• Transferred sessions do not guarantee a specific future date and must remain within a similar service scope

Private Events & Weddings

Booking

• A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the event date.

• The date is not reserved until the deposit is received.

• The remaining balance is due prior to the event.

Cancellations & Date Changes

• The deposit secures the performance date and covers preparation and scheduling.

• If an event or wedding is canceled, the deposit may be transferred to a future event or wedding date.

• Deposit transfers do not expire and may be transferred multiple times, subject to availability.

• Transferring a deposit does not guarantee availability for a specific future date.

• If a new event or wedding requires additional performance time, travel, musicians, or services beyond the original booking, pricing may be adjusted accordingly.

Performance Time & Extensions

• Performance beyond the booked package time may incur additional fees.

• Custom song requests, ensemble collaboration, or extended time should be arranged in advance.

Event Requirements

• The client must provide a safe performance space and suitable instrument or power access if required.

• Travel outside the local area may include additional fees.

Session & Recording Work

• Payment secures session time and preparation.

• Up to three rounds of minor revisions are included. Major structural changes, new arrangements, or performance direction changes may be considered a new session.

• Additional revisions or production work may incur extra fees.

• Final audio files are delivered once payment is complete.

Composition & Notation

• Project pricing varies based on length, complexity, and instrumentation.

• A deposit may be required before work begins.

• Turnaround times depend on project scope.

• Once compositions or notation are delivered, the service is considered fulfilled.

Creative Media Services

• A deposit may be required to reserve shoot dates.

• Editing time is included based on the selected package.

• Additional edits, alternate versions, or rush delivery may affect pricing.

• Clients are responsible for securing location permissions when required.

• Aerial footage is subject to FAA regulations, local airspace restrictions, weather conditions, and pilot certification requirements. Drone services are provided only when legally permitted and properly licensed.

Cancellations (Non-Lesson Services)

Because preparation time is required for accompaniment, recording, events, and media work:

• Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to partial fees.

• Same-day cancellations may be non-refundable.

Lateness

Time lost due to late arrival by the client cannot be extended past the scheduled end time.

Intellectual Property

• Original compositions, arrangements, recordings, and media content remain the intellectual property of the creator unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Clients receive usage rights for the intended project upon full payment.

Health & Safety

Sessions may be rescheduled in cases of illness to maintain a safe environment for all parties.

Communication

Clear communication ensures the best results. Questions, concerns, or special requests should be discussed in advance.
